Our Team

English classes at the CLC are taught by qualified, experienced teachers, both native speakers and Moroccan. Arabic is taught by Moroccan teachers with proven experience in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

Some of our full-time staff include:

Brahim Zoubairi, Arabic Language Coordinator, Teacher of English & Arabic
Brahim holds an MS Ed. in TEFL.  He has over ten years of experience in teacher training, TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language).  For over 8 years he worked as the Arabic language coordinator for student study abroad programs from Legacy International, the University of Georgia, Athens and other American Universities.

Hamza Emmanuel Weinman, Exchange Program Coordinator, English Teacher
Hamza has a MS Ed. in TEFL.  He was born and raised in New Mexico, and has been living and in Marrakesh Morocco for the past 8 years. 
He has 8 years of experience in TEFL, teacher training, materials development and running the young learners program.  He is particularly interested in intercultural dialogue between Moroccans and Americans. 
He enjoys basketball, Arabic and spending time with his family. 
Jacob Gledhill, English Teacher
Jacob has a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Chico, as well as TESOL certification (Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages). He taught in the California School system, various grades for 5 years, as well as one year at the American School of Marrakesh. 
Jacob loves music, he's played guitar for the past 15 years, writes and produces music and has is own recording label with BMI. 
He enjoys nature hikes, photography, golf and basketball.  He is the Music Club facilitator at the Center for Language and Culture.
 

Raja Benchekroun, English Teacher

Raja has a Masters in Communication studies and a BA with honor from the English Department at the University of Cadi Ayyad in Marrakesh.  She also has the TKT and Young Learner Methodology Certificates from the British Council. She has 4 years experience teaching English.  She is the head teacher for the CLC Kids Program.

Hassan Nitami, Teacher, English and Arabic

Hassan taught English in Marrakesh for 4 years before travelling to the USA on the prestigious Fullbright Scholarship in 2002.  He taught Arabic and Business Arabic for 5 years at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.   He also taught Arabic and English at Camden Community College, New Jersey.
Hassan has worked as a consultant and translator for many law firms and for the World Bank.  He was part of the translation team for the movie « Syriana » 002 i


Nisrine Regragui, Administrative Assistant

Nisrine has been a facilitator for intercultural dialogues between Moroccan students and American University students.  She is pursuing an English degree at the Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, Morocco.  In her free time she likes to read and bake.
She is the facilitator of the Discussion Club at the CLC.
